Julie Watts is an Associate with over fifteen years’ experience in the design industry. Her experience is gained from working in Sydney, London and Japan where she has demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of cultures and design. She has experience in all stages of design from concept through to site management. She is currently working on commercial and hospitality projects for Cox.
After graduating from University of Technology Sydney in 2000, Julie worked in commercial & residential interior design in Sydney before joining the London firm Condes Associates where she lead teams on various commercial and retail projects. In 2005 she joined Fox and Company in Tokyo, Japan where she worked for various local and international clients, most notably on Miyazaki Kanko Hotel in Kyushu Japan.
On her return to Sydney in 2006 Julie joined the Cox Interiors team, relocating to Cox Melbourne in 2015. At Cox Julie has lead interior teams on a variety of projects including; Commercial workplace for ActewAGL, Sir John Monash Centre Villers Bretonneux France, Newcastle Courthouse and The Rod Laver Arena redevelopment.
Julie is passionate about sustainable design and developing close relationships with clients. She is adept at balancing the functional requirements of a brief with high aesthetic standards
